General Terms & Conditions for All NetworkChristians Customer – Members & Non-Members

 

1.1 Membership of NetworkChristians is only open to single Christians or Friends of Network Christians who are resident in the UK or temporarily abroad. The term “single” includes those never married, divorced and widowed. The term “Christian” applies to those who practice a Christian faith and who up hold Christian values and behaviour. Friends of Network are courting or married couples who continue to support and use NetworkChristians.

1.2 Every customer is responsible for providing accurate information to NetworkChristians and ensuring NetworkChristians uses their information accurately. Every customer is responsible for the consequences of any interaction with another. NetworkChristians is not liable for the acts or omissions of any of its customers. NetworkChristians is not liable for the consequences of any dispute, or any other event between customers. It does however, reserve the right to intervene in a dispute between customers of NetworkChristians, and on behalf of one or other customer when it deems necessary.

1.3 Customers of NetworkChristians must not use their access to other customers at social events and holidays, or the NetworkChristians website to promote any organisation, small or large, voluntary or commercial or collect information for such organisations without prior written permission from the Director of Network Christians. Unauthorised promotion or collection of information will result in the termination of any membership and forfeiture of monies paid for membership, booked events or holidays. NetworkChristians will not be responsible for any further loss incurred as a result of someone breaking the terms of their membership or event booking.

1.4 NetworkChristians encourages its customers to be safety conscious and is not liable for any damage, injury or risk resulting from or in any way connected to attendance at its social events or holidays.

1.5 Membership is entirely at NetworkChristians discretion and can be terminated or suspended as NetworkChristians sees fit.

1.6 Any person considered to be behaving in an antisocial or dangerous manner and/or under the influence of alcohol or drugs may have their Day Event or Holiday terminated. A customer whose Event or Holiday has been terminated due to their behaviour will not be refunded for that Event or Holiday. NetworkChristians can neither take any responsibility for any additional expenses incurred by individuals in any such circumstances. NetworkChristians cannot accept any responsibility for the actions of other people outside its control.

1.7 NetworkChristians Membership is non-refundable and non-transferable.

NetworkChristians Customers - Events & Holiday Booking Agreement

Making a booking…

2.1 Holiday Description Accuracy - When preparing printed and displayed information, every care has been taken to ensure that the information contained in it is accurate and up to date at the time of going to press. However, changes may occur after publication, so please check the details of your holiday with NetworkChristians before making your booking.

2.2 Provisional Bookings – NetworkChristians will take a provisional booking by phone or e-mail. This provisional booking will be kept for 5 working days only whilst we await receipt of your required payment.

2.3 Your booking with NetworkChristians is made once you have made the required payment and NetworkChristians receipt plus confirmation letter has been sent to you. You must check your confirmation letter carefully and raise any queries with NetworkChristians immediately upon receipt. NetworkChristians reserve the right to cancel or refuse to accept any booking at any time.

2.4 Non-members are able to book and attend events or holidays providing they pay the additional non-members premium. This will be payable with you balance.

2.5 Medical Conditions - In your own interest, you must be confident that your medical and physical condition is suited to the day event or holiday you have chosen. If in doubt please consult our office staff or your doctor and be sure to advise us on your booking form of any condition we should be aware of. Hosts will not be in a position to provide extra assistance to any individual if doing so could reduce their effectiveness to the rest of the group.

2.6 Insurance – NetworkChristians strongly recommend that members take out insurance cover that offers them the relevant type and level of protection. 

2.7 Special Requests – Please inform NetworkChristians in writing of anyspecial request(s) or needs. We will do our best to cater for your particular needs but we cannot guarantee to do so.

Making a payment(s)…

3.1 Payments can be made by cheque to Network Christians Ltd and posted to PO Box 123, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 2WU or by debit or credit card via our website events & holidays page. Once you have requested a place you will receive an e-mail inviting you to pay via a paypal liink, advising you of a waiting list or notifying you the event is fully booked.

3.2 Day Or Evening Event – Once your full payment is accepted a receipt and relevant information will be sent to you either by e-mail or post. In the event of your cancellation of a day or evening event a refund will not be payable by NetworkChristians. An unwanted or cancelled place on a Day or Evening Event cannot be transferred to another person. Should NetworkChristians choose to cancel the event you will be refunded in full. However if NetworkChristians is forced to cancel an event due to circumstances beyond its control it will not be obliged to pay a refund.

3.3 Holiday - To secure a booking a deposit payment is required. The balance payment must be made to NetworkChristians Ltd at least 8 weeks prior to the Holiday. If you book less than 8 weeks prior to departure you must pay the full price of the holiday when you book. Failure to pay the balance due by the required date may result in the loss of your booking and deposit.

During the event or holiday….

3.4 Car Sharing – To enable guests without their own transport to fully take part in our holiday activities car drivers may volunteer to take passengers. We request that passengers pay parking fees and cover the petrol costs of the driver. Members must understand that car sharing is done entirely at their own risk.

3.4 Complaints – Please inform yourNetworkChristians Host immediately of any complaint so they can take immediate action to remedy the problem. 

Transfers and Cancellations…

3.5 Transferring A Booking – Bookings for Day, Evening or Holidays are not transferableto another person.

3.6 Canceling Your Holiday – You must notify us of your wish tocancel your booking in writing by e-mail or letter. Events cancelled prior to 8 weeks before the Holiday will incur the loss of your deposit. Holidays cancelled less than 8 weeks prior to the event will incur the loss of both deposit and balance.

3.7 Cancellation of Your Holiday by NetworkChristians -This may occur due to circumstances outside of our control include but are not limited to war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions. If cancellation or curtailment of your holiday occurs as a result of circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with all due care, NetworkChristians will not pay any compensation, nor be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by you as a result. However, where NetworkChristians chooses to cancel your event or Holiday a full refund will be given.

Additional Terms & conditions for Toucando Introduction Service Membership

 

4.1 Introduction Service Membership - By using our introduction service you have access to current suitable members and new members as they join. Your application form will provide us with details for your profile, information about the type of person you would like to meet and how you would like them to contact you. Each member is responsible for providing accurate information to Toucando.

4.2 We will only disclose information on your profile that you agree to us sharing with other introduction service members.  Each Introduction Service Member is responsible for ensuring the information supplied to and used by Toucando is correct.  Please check the content of your profile and inform Toucando of any necessary amendments by phone, e-mail or letter. 

4.3 You will receive your first list of matches and your membership card when you first join the introduction service. Each member’s circumstances and aspirations are different and this will have a bearing on the frequency and number of contacts we send you. Our aim is to significantly improve your opportunities to meet a suitable partner. We will usually send you a list of contacts every three months for the length of your membership. In some instances we will search for suitable introductions for you on a monthly basis. Your contacts will be sent in plain white envelopes. 

4.4 As suitable new members join our database your name will be added to their list. Therefore extra people may contact you who are not yet on your personal list. Should you wish to know their profile details please contact us. 

4.5 Toucando recommends that each Introduction Service Member contacts all those on their shortlist. We request that you reply to each contact and that you inform those with whom you do not wish to pursue a relationship promptly. Toucando, whilst encouraging its members to respond and treat all with courtesy, is not able to enforce this and consequently cannot guarantee any contact with other members.

4.6 We understand that for some of our introduction service members confidentiality is a top priority. We therefore request that you inform Toucando if you do not wish us to contact you by phone. Our correspondence is sent to you in a plain white envelope. Should we leave a message on a machine or with the person answering the call we will describe ourselves as NetworkChristians Holiday Company. If you have any concerns about your privacy please do not hesitate to contact us on 01584 876116.

4.7 Always put your safety first. Your initial meetings should be in safe, public places. Toucando is not liable for any damage, injury or risk resulting from or in any way connected to membership of Toucando. Each member is responsible for the consequences of any interaction with another member. Toucando is not liable for the acts or omissions of any of its members. Toucando is not liable for the consequences of any dispute, or any other event between members. It does however, reserve the right to intervene in a dispute between members of Toucando, and on behalf of one or other member when it deems necessary.

4.8 Toucando reserves the right to disclose information about you to the statutory authorities when your safety or the safety of others is considered to be in danger. 

4.9 The number of introductions Toucando can provide you will depend on the criteria you ask us to work with and your personal circumstances.  Criteria that is realistic and flexible is more likely to result in us finding a greater number of contacts.  Criteria that is less realistic and inflexible is more likely to result in a lower number of contacts. Toucando is happy to discuss your criteria with you and inform you of the likely results.   Our efforts to find contacts for members with specific criteria often results in a greater workload.<

4.10 The Toucando registration fee is used to set up your profile and an make initial enquiries on your behalf. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Additional Terms & Conditions for Website Membership

Website members undertake to use NetworkChristians website responsibly by agreeing:

5.1 to only use this site if they are over 18 years old, resident in the UK, single and professing Christians;

5.2 to provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself when completing the registration and / or subscription form. If any information you provide, including photographs, is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading NetworkChristians has the right to terminate your activity on its website;

5.3 to not impersonate any other person;

5.4 to not use the Web Site for unlawful purposes;

5.5 to not gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or other computer systems or networks connected to the NetworkChristians Web Site; To not interfere with or disrupt the Web Site or servers or networks connected to the Web Site; to not use the Web Site in a manner that may transmit any matter containing a virus, corrupted file, "Trojan Horse" or other hostile program or software;

5.6 to not use the internal mailing system, the Forums, Message Boards or the profile forms or any other part of the site to promote events, charities, businesses, or services or to make financial requests. To not transmit "junk mail", "Spam", "chain letters", or unsolicited mass distribution of marketing or other materials. To not send out mails with the same or similar content to more than one person in quick succession;

5.7 to not include in your public profile or in the discussion boards any telephone numbers, street addresses, last names, url's, e-mail addresses, any information that would enable people to contact you outside the site;

5.8 to not copy or reproduce in any form in whole or in part anything published on the Web Site;

5.9 that you are the author, own the copyright and intellectual property rights of any photographs you provide to NetworkChristians; you agree to indemnify NetworkChristians for any claim brought against NetworkChristians for intellectual property right infringement and/or passing off.

5.10 that you report any violations of the terms & conditions by any Third Party to NetworkChristians at info@networkchristians.com.

Website members accept that NetworkChristians:

5.11 agents and contractors can access the content of your profile or account in order to identify and resolve technical problems or service complaints.

5.12 cannot guarantee the functionality of the Web Site or that the Web Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free and provides the Web Site on an 'as is' basis;

5.13 makes no warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of the Web Site, and as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Web Site;

5.14 may need to modify, discontinue or suspend temporarily or permanently, the Web Site without notice but shall where reasonably practicable, give reasonable notice of its intention to do so.

5.15 shall have no liability to you in relation to any dispute, which you may have with a Third Party.

5.16 does not control any information provided by Third Parties that is made available on the Web Site. Your correspondence, transactions or other dealings with Third Parties available on or linked through the Web Site are solely between you and such Third Parties and done at your own risk. 

5.17 does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such parties or resources.


Website members undertake to treat other members responsibly by agreeing:

5.18 to reply promptly and courteously to mail received from other members;

5.19 to not divulge any personal or confidential information about other members of the site, past or present;

5.20 to not contact other members via any means on or off the site, without their consent or when their consent has been withdrawn;

5.21 To not publish on the Web Site, or send to any other member or NetworkChristians employee, any harrassing, libelous, privacy invading, abusive, threatening, obscene, sexually suggestive, offensive, racist or otherwise objectionable messages or photos to other users in any communications on or off the website.

5.22 that NetworkChristians may routinely monitor the use of the website to ensure the service is being used in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. NetworkChristians reserves the right, but has no obligation, to reject or remove any profile or photo that does not comply with the letter or spirit of the Terms and Conditions.

Termination of Membership

5.23 NeworkChristians may terminate or suspend with immediate effect and without notice your access to, and use of the Web Site and delete files in your account if NetworkChristians:

(a) reasonably believes that you have breached any of the terms of this Agreement;(b) is unable to determine the accuracy or validity of any information provided by you;(c) suspects fraudulent, abusive or illegal activity;(d) in response to a complaint or mail block or to remove a member whose behaviour might reasonably give rise to a complaint. (e) for any other business or technical reason.

NetworkChristians adheres to the Data Protection Act and its own Confidentiality Policies.

5.24 Data Protection Policy – NetworkChristians is registered with the Data Protection Agency and is bound by legislation to collect, store and share your information in the correct manner. We only hold the personal information that you choose to give us for the purpose of processing your membership, event and holiday bookings and enabling you to use the website functions. We will only share essential information with third parties for the purposes of administering your membership, event and holiday bookings or website use. We will not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties without your permission.

5.25 From time to time NetworkChristians may send you e-mail newsletters, which you may have previously opted-in for. If you wish to be removed from the database then please use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail.

5.26 NetworkChristians will not disclose any information to any third parties without your consent, except that you agree NetworkChristians may do so if such information is already in the public domain, is required to be disclosed by law, by a governmental agency or to protect the interests of NetworkChristians or its members or where there have been substantial and serious breaches of the terms and conditions.

5.27 NetworkChristians shall not be responsible for storing any information or materials on your behalf. You are advised to maintain any backup copies of all information that you wish to preserve.

5.28 You acknowledge and agree that any material you post on any area on the Web Site that is accessible to the public will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and Network Christiana may use such material in any medium for any purpose, including but not limited to the reproduction, disclosure, transmission, publication, broadcast and posting of such material in advertising and promotions.

5.29 NetworkChristians can use any information that you have given your consent for us to use and in the manner you have agreed.

5.30 NetworkChristians owns all copyright and other intellectual property rights of whatever nature in the Web Site.

5.31 Neither party shall be liable for any breach of this Agreement due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.

5.32 NetworkChristians may vary the Terms and Conditions above upon reasonable notice. These terms and conditions apply to all members. NetworkChristians is not bound by any verbal change agreed to these written terms and conditions by NetworkChristians employees or their agents.

5.33 NetworkChristians may need to amend and alter this Agreement for valid business and/or technical reasons. In such circumstances NetworkChristians will post the amended Terms and Conditions on the Web Site and they will come into force immediately. Your continued use of the Web Site after having received notice of changes to the Web Site will constitute your acceptance of any such changes.

5.34 If you do not accept the amendments you have the right to terminate any agreement you may have with NetworkChristians and you should stop using the Web Site.
