Home for 900 years of the bishops of Winchester, Farnham Castle sits above the historic town just a stones throw away from quaint buildings, narrow streets, cafes and shops.
Put aside any thoughts of draughty, cobweb strewn halls and instead image a beautiful Norman Hall (recently modernised in the 1600s!) ready for our Masked Ball.
We will be taking advantage of this special venue with a gentle introduction to "Pride and Prejudice" style dancing with our tutor Arnold Steeds. This is a great way for all to mix. Ladies will be encouraged to flutter their eyelashes and the gentlemen to be ...especially gallant!
We know that some of you have enjoyed this style of dancing in the past. Should you happen to have a costume of this era and be looking for an opportunity to don it, then please feel free! Otherwise, smart eveningwear is just fine too...Gents don your DJ with black tie or smart suit. Ladies, take your ball gown out of its box or slip into that pretty cocktail dress. Pop on that mask and dance away!
After a break, we will resume our dancing,...but bring it up to date with our disco till 1 a.m.
