Having enjoyed our time here so much in March 2009 it seemed a crime not to return and what better time than May with longer days and warmer weather!
We will again run walking and non-walking activities side by side so that this break can appeal to all our customers. So, if you fancy admiring the scenery from a stately home, pretty lakeside village or tea shop, this holiday will hit the spot. However, if a view from a mountain top is more to your liking, we will arrange a variety of walks (ranging in difficultly) for you to choose from. The great thing is, you can mix and match relaxation and exercise as the whim takes you.
Places for you to visit …the southern lakes and towns, historical properties...oh, and tea shops!Those returning to the Lakes with us this year can look forward to some new walks and activities.
Venue: Abbot Hall Hotel, Kents Bank, Grange over Sands Cumbria LA11 7BG. A comfortable hotel but the décor needing some TLC. However, the great food and in-door heated swimming pool more than makes up for this.
Travel: Train to Kent Bank Station (3 hrs from London). This train station is literally at the end of the hotels garden so no need for a taxi as its just a 2 minute walk to hotels door! Ample free parking.
